Frequently Asked Questions


When we say “Building a fit community, one friend at a time”, we really mean it!  Our gym is full of people with different experience levels and different fitness goals, coming together as a community to workout and encourage one another.  We don’t want a daily workout to feel intimidating, but rather empowering!  We’ve put together our most frequently asked questions below to help get you ready for your first workout at Fit Factory.  If you don’t see your questions answered here, feel free to shoot us an email and we’ll answer quickly.

Once you’ve read through the FAQs, check out our schedule and give us a try!  Your first class is free of charge and free of commitment.  We think you’ll stay but it’s totally up to you!

  • Do I need to reserve my spot for a class before attending?

    No. At this point we do not cap our classes. If you've never come before, please sign our waiver by clicking the "Get Started" button at the top of this page.

  • Do you have showers?

    Yes. We have two showers and two more changing rooms.

  • How long do the workouts last?

    Most days the entire workout (warmup through cool down) lasts 50 minutes.

  • I'm out of shape. Will the be too hard for me?

    No. Of course it will be hard. Working out needs to be hard. But, all the movements we do at Fit Factory can be scaled or modified to meet any fitness level.

  • I like a really tough workout. Will this be too easy?

    No way! You’ll find that as your fitness increases, you start performing the workouts with heavier weights and less rest. This means that even the fittest person in the gym gets a killer workout.

  • I have an injured ________. Can I still come?

    Of course. Our coaches will be happy to come up with alternative exercises for you that don’t aggravate your injury.

  • Can I come to the gym outside of class times to do my own workout?

    No. We only offer classes or personal training. There are no open gym hours at this time.

  • I don't want to get bulky. Will I get bulky doing these exercises?

    No. Lifting weights does not make people "bulky." The kitchen is the real culprit. If a person eats well and is still “bulky” by your standards, it probably means they have lifted super heavy weights for YEARS in order to get that. We will be burning tons of calories and building lean muscles at Fit Factory.

  • Do you post the workouts online beforehand?

    No. Although sometimes people on social media “leak” the day’s workout, we intentionally do not post it. If you’re only doing what you like in the gym, you’re not doing what you need!

  • Do you make members sign a contract for a certain number of months?

    We have multiple options you can choose from to fit your preference and lifestyle! You have the option to pay month to month for unlimited classes at $139. You can also buy a package of 10 classes for $139. Neither of these options involve a contract; however we do ask all members to give us at least 7 days notice before canceling any membership.

    We do offer a few packages at a discounted rate for those who wish to enter into a 6 month and 12 month commitment. In this instance, a contract is involved. Check out our pricing options on the home page for more information!

  • I'm from out of town. Can I drop in for a class?

    Yes, we'd love to meet you. First class is only free for Nashville residents. Out of town guests can either buy a class for $18 or a shirt for $20 (comes with a free class).

  • What should I bring with me?

    A water bottle, towel, and a good attitude!

  • What shoes should I wear?

    You can start out in any athletic shoe that fits. However, you'll soon see that running shoes are not great for weightlifting, and weightlifting shoes are terrible for running. We recommend a cross training shoe because it will perform adequately for all the tasks we do at Fit Factory. (Nike Metcon, Reebok Nano, New Balance MX730v2, Asics Met Conviction)
